AC distribution panels for a 25 MWp solar park

Pronutec supplies 8 800V distribution panels for the solar park under construction in a town in Angola. The park, which will have a capacity of 25 MWp, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Pronutec’s 800V AC distribution panels will be located in the transformation cabins. These panels, where the switchgear for photovoltaic applications are housed inside, will be in charge of receiving the input cables of the string inverters, once they have transformed the direct current into alternating current, and guarantee the distribution of clean energy to the network.

The park will contribute significantly to the goals set by the Angolan government to meet the country’s energy needs and increase the share of renewable sources. According to a statement from the Angolan embassy in Spain, the Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, recalled that the substitution of thermal energy for solar energy represents a saving of 275 million liters of diesel per year.
